Each niche within a community, weather that is a demand for coffee or homeless shelters has a fluctuating demand. Each type of service or product has different rates of change and different shapes to their curve. A durable product will eventually saturate the market it is being sold into and the demand will decline, shrinking the niche. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This can be good or bad depending on the need. Reduced consumption of kitchen appliances reduces the volume of materials being used which can be a good thing. &lt;br /&gt;
